Frequently Asked Questions
I live on campus. Do I need a Meal Plan?
All students residing on campus must have a meal plan.
I live off campus as a Commuter Student or Faculty/Staff. Can I have a Meal Plan?
Absolutely! You may purchase a block of meals with a voluntary plan or add Flex Dollars to your card to use in Kelley Commons dining hall, the Owl's Nest and on our dining app, "Everyday".
How do I purchase a Meal Plan?
Students living on campus select their meal plan as part of the housing selection process each academic year. Students living off campus can purchase a plan on our website.
I have specific eating requirements. I am vegetarian or vegan, have food sensitivities and/or allergies. Do you have options for me?
Yes! We have many plant-based menu options, and we add more recipes every semester. There is a dedicated area in the dining hall called "Simple Zone" with a gluten-free fridge stocked for our patrons, as well as a dedicated microwave and toaster.
Communication is the key to addressing food allergies and dietary needs. Prior to or immediately upon arrival to campus, please inform our dietitian, Krista Niezelski so she can advise you on how to navigate the dining hall safely. She provides individual consultations and can create a diet plan that works for you. Also, please inform your servers of any special requirements and don't be afraid to ask questions if you need additional information.
How many Meal Swipes do I have left?
You can ask the cashier at the dining hall or any dining location cashier to check your account balance.
I am a parent, family member, or friend. Can I add cash to a student's account?
Yes, you can! Flex Dollars can be purchased on our website. You will need the student's ID number to complete the transaction.
